Carolyn Kitzel is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and a financial industry veteran for over two decades. She has a wide breadth of knowledge in finance, investments, and planning; stemming from her many years on Wall Street that make her both financially savvy and (Wall) street-wise.
Over the past 20+ years, Carolyn has built her career advising high net worth and institutional clientele of international banks and wirehouses. These unique experiences have given her deep insights into the industry that have helped shape her philosophy and passion for helping clients.
Carolyn started her career in 1996 in the Bond Pits at the Chicago Board of Trade. At a young age, she stood shoulder-to-shoulder with thousands of traders in the pits and quickly learned the intricacies of fixed income investments and trading. From that experience, she ventured out to pursue managing and building her own book of clientele. She completed her Morgan Stanley training at the World Trade Center in NYC in 1998 and continued to learn the ropes of markets and investing throughout the following decade.
Carolyn has since held roles in trust and estate management and has extensive experience in complex estate planning, including interpreting legal documents and providing due diligence on charitable foundations for her clientele. Prior to joining CWA, Carolyn was a Private Client advisor at both Charles Schwab and JPMorgan. In these roles, Carolyn developed a reputation as a thought leader in finding new ways of approaching investment management and was consistently recognized as a top producer.
She previously resided in Chicago and moved to Miami in June 2017 with her husband and cat, “Kitty.”
